Dear Colleagues,
I believe all teachers received an email from Myrna Vallely, Assist. Superintendent of HR regarding the rescinding of the pink slips. This is great news for those teachers who received a notice of layoff. Through your efforts and VTA/CTA's deligence to determine the value of Class Size Reduction the Board in yesterday's board meeting voted to rescind the layoff notices. Tomorrow's hearing is thereby cancelled thus no need for substitute teachers.
In closing I would like to thank all of the Site Reps, Executive Board members and, most importantly, all our teachers for supporting one another during this difficult time.
